My name is Katie (she/they). Online, I go by KatieKomics. I'm a queer artist and art lover! Specifically my interest lies heavily in cartoonism, character design, and animation. I consider myself to be cartoon obsessed! This interest in animation includes but is not limited to my enjoyment of anime.

I've been posting my art online for roughly 10 years. I'm currently 21 years old and I've been drawing since I could hold crayons. I'm a firm believer all you need to be an artist is a medium and dedication to your craft. You don't need technical skill when you start out! It's important to be at least a little bit unhinged about your hobby. You need to be willing to dedicate a lot of time and effort, and you need to have fun while doing so! Experience and skill level doesn't necessarily make an artist. It's all about the energy you bring to your work.

That all being said, I do have some experience of my own. I graduated from a college course for art fundamentals during the COVID-19 pandemic, which meant all my classes were online. My college experience was strange, and as such I opted to take some time to work and figure out some health related stuff while I decide what I want to do next.
